Sanctuary, Part One & Part Two – Susan Morabito

Dec.25, 2011

I compiled these two sets from an 11 hour set Susan Morabito did called Love Is in the Air. I condensed 11 hours down to less than 3 hours, which means I selected the songs I most enjoyed and also edited out the long transitions. I think of it as Susan Morabito for the Attention Deficit Disordered. Consequently you can blame me for most of the transitions, especially any that are awkward. Lots of gospel, smooth R&B, even an instrumental with what sounds like jazz violinist, Jean Luc Ponty. You can find Susan on www.susanmorabito.com.

Sunshine

Dec.25, 2011

Sunshine is a series of songs (no mixing; no transitions). Slower and gentler than most of what’s on here. Real songs with vocals, but mostly lame lyrics.

Funky Electro, Part One & Part Two – PashtunDJ

Dec.25, 2011

Pavel (PashtunDJ) is a good friend of mine. Originally from Russia, Pavel now resides
in Toronto. Pavel does a lot of remixes, tweaking, overlays, etc. using Ableton Software, so that his sets sound quite integrated and continuous. His tastes are also eclectic, although probably a little harder and more 80’s than mine. These are from a set he did at the Black Eagle (Toronto). Part One is pretty much un-edited except for a few changes and Part Two is four un-edited segments that I ‘spliced’ together. You can find Pavel’s music at www.pashtunDJ.com.
